Adam D.

Adam has been working as a back-end web developer since 1995, and working with PHP and MySQL databases since 1998. More recently he also has functional knowledge of Node.js. Adam has worked in a variety of sectors including entertainment and advertising, building a wide range of projects promoting consumer goods and TV shows. Audience size for these projects ranged from tens of thousands to the low millions in size. He's also frequently acted as the system administrator, deployment and release manager, and database administrator in nearly every development role he's held since 2005. He is comfortable administering Unix or Linux servers including database creation, import, backups, cron jobs, etc. Adam is familiar and comfortable with the Agile development process, and is comfortable using JIRA, Confluence and GIT. Adam has familiarity with the Amazon Web Services suite of tools including OpsWorks, RDS and EC2. He has also created a custom MVC PHP platform specifically to be faster and leaner than existing off-the-shelf MVC platforms. Adam has also load tested several of his applications for high traffic load, and assisted third-party systems teams in the configuration of servers, load balancers, etc. to meet demand as needed.
