Making a Counteroffer in a Hire Me Project
A client may notice your profile and can hire you anytime through the Hire Me feature. When you are hired via Hire Me, you will be given the options to accept, reject or make a counteroffer.
Rather than rejecting/accepting the project outright, the counteroffer option gives you more freedom to negotiate your price. You can propose a different project (1) budget (bid amount) and (2) duration (expected delivery) with it.
Note: You can only make a counteroffer once. Make sure that you communicate with the client via chat before making an offer to properly negotiate with them.
After a counteroffer is sent, the client can either accept or reject it. If accepted, the project will be automatically accepted by you in the background and a project fee may apply. Otherwise, the project will be closed.
