I need to integrate a series of xml documents into a custom quickbase application.
Background: I have recently purchased [url removed, login to view], a clown supply company. The shopping cart is Americart. The fulfillment house from where the products are shipped is called MDF systems. And I have created a customer support app in quickbase to track things...
The process is this:
1) Americart will send an xml doc via email (20090806 Americart [url removed, login to view], 20090706 Order [url removed, login to view]). (see attached to see the format.) This xml Doc needs to be imported into quickbase as an invoice and simultaneously forwarded to MDF's ftp server.
2) MDF will create a response xml doc on it's ftp server within 5 seconds or so. The response can be one of three things: an error response ([url removed, login to view]), a backorder (20090806 [url removed, login to view]), or acceptance (20090806 [url removed, login to view]). See also (20090706 MDF Response [url removed, login to view]) This also needs to be imported into quickbase.
3) MDF will then ship the product and create an xml doc for that as well. That needs to also update the invoice and add as an activity.
the first stage of this project is to get orders into quickbase. other subsequent projects involve other integration related to manual orders, vendor purchasing, and inventory updates.
