A Wordpress subfolder for another system

hi, i'm trying to install an open source system called "[login to view URL]" in a subfolder in my wordpress website.
i'm getting redirected to my main website every-time. when i tired to edit .htaccess. the main website was directing to the subfolder. i need an expert to help me.
please note that i have hidemywp plugin installed.
