OSCommerce Online Consultation

I am currently using OSCommerce 2.2 for my online store. It has served me quite well for many years but I am now seeing some limitations -- in particular in my ability to create interesting content to present my products. As a first step, I want to redesign the homepage with a 960 grid with a sliding gallery on top and then below a filterable list of all my products by category using the isotope script ([login to view URL]). I have found that the main issue in hiring a freelancer here is communication. Even though many are great programmers, it is difficult to find a creative solution given that the programmer is in a remote location and often doesn't speak English natively. As a first step, therefore, I'd like to set up a short online chat consultation to go over my needs and get a sense of how good the candidate is at discussing and resolving issues through a chat in English. Following a series of chats, I will award a project to the candidate who is best able to present a clear method for redesigning our site.
