I’m looking for a simple inventory database to be created in MS Access. From the main switchboard I need to be able to:
add new records
print reports of records to a spreadsheet type view
In the forms I need to call up records by stock number from a field where I can enter any number manually as I will be using a barcode scanner to enter this data.
The main inventory table should reference other tables where applicable for both easy future maintenance and ease of use where typically there will only be a predefined list of options available for the field. I would imagine this to be the case for the item, manufacturer, description, class, fuse, pass/fail, project and location fields.
All data is currently held in an excel spreadsheet, a sample of which is attached.
There is no urgency for the completion of this project.
