Your job is to take a current "tabled" XHTML template (~260 KB) and convert it into a lean, tableless HTML design that follows all the preferred practices of modern XHTML file: Minimize the use of tables, avoid graphics where possible, reuse graphics as much as you can, keep styles in CSS file, minimize number of files downloaded, et cetera et cetera.
First deliverable is an optimized XHTML template file (TABBED indents) and optimized images. Then you'll move on to make two or three variations of the same design based on the original XHTML you just created.
* Have previous experience in tableless design, CSS sprites, and optimization
* Provide examples of previous work
If your examples of previous work do not validate without warnings and errors with [url removed, login to view] , please do not apply.¨
