I am in need of an experienced eCommerce web developer to create a quote-based online store for my business. The ideal candidate should have expertise in using WooCommerce as the preferred eCommerce platform. The project budget is less than $1000 and the timeline for completion is 1-2 weeks.
Description:
We are seeking an experienced web developer to set up an eCommerce platform for our business selling laboratory equipment. This will not be a typical eCommerce setup, as we intend to implement a quote-based pricing model instead of traditional pricing.
The key functionality for our website will include:
Product catalog: The ability to showcase our extensive range of laboratory equipment with full product details but with hidden pricing.
Request a quote: A feature that allows customers to add multiple items to their cart and then request a quote for those items instead of checking out in the typical manner.
Customer login: A customer login setup, requiring users to input their email address and company details prior to requesting a quote. This is to ensure that we can validate that they are legitimate customers and not competitors.
Quote generation and email: Once the quote is requested, an automated system should generate a detailed quote, including the selected product specifications and pricing, and send it to the customer's provided email address.
Preferred platforms include WooCommerce (WordPress), Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, or PrestaShop, but we are open to suggestions if you believe a different platform would better suit our needs.
Please note: experience in implementing a similar setup or familiarity with quote-request plugins/add-ons is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

Experience with quote request systems or plugins is a big plus.
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
