Our Client is in need of a vendor who can pick up this project where the previous vendor has left them off stranded and confused.
The Client wants to build a massive, traffic-collecting Internet directory that would be optimized, on a page-by-page and link-by-link basis for popular key words and key phrases within the realm of consumer shopping. Please see these reference items to understand the Client objective for this project:
1) Spreadsheet - [url removed, login to view]
-the programmers had the client give them the intended structure of the directory
-there are 39 “main” categories with each having its own page
-there are over 600 “sub” categories with each having its own page
-each main category has 3 featured “sub” categories on the Home Page
2) Web Site - [url removed, login to view]
-each of the 600 “sub” category pages includes 10 “word and phrase” links
The Client was sold on the notion that the overall directory would increase in relevance and traffic, based on the visitors the links attracted. By tracking the traffic on the site, the Client intended to sell entire pages and banner ads and re-directed clicks to companies wanting traffic in the various “sub” categories represented across the 600 pages.
The Client is interested in pursuing the completion of a consumer shopping directory which:
-contains thousands of overall pages
-is able to achieve relevance for shopping related words and phrases by design
-and is able to capture and either sell or redirect traffic
The previous has been taken off the project, and the Client now seeks a replacement which understands and can explain directories, databases and SEO.
Option A - If this IS a viable approach for such a project, please explain why and offer your proposal for completing it.
Option B - If this IS NOT a viable approach, please explain why. And if you have a practical solution for creating the type of massive, SEO optimized traffic-collecting / traffic-referring directory that our Client seeks, please offer your proposal for completing it.
(You MUST have project management resources with strong spoken English language skills AND be available via a US telephone number, in order to be considered as a vendor.)
