Ok, so I am going to be adding a lot of articles to my website soon.
I need you to install a system (probably Wordpress?) that will allow me or any staff writers to add articles to this directory.
It should look like the rest of my site, you can see an example of what it looks like in [url removed, login to view]
It consists of:
1. Article directory home, to be setup on [url removed, login to view] Similar to [url removed, login to view] (The part below "Latest Articles").
I need to be able to add categories at will, when I do they should appear here. Each category will have a title (look at the example jpeg) and then three latest articles running horizontally with their pictures as thumbs. Below the thumb should be the articles title and one sentence from the article.
Below this should be: "Related Articles" with links to three other articles in that category.
Below this should be a link to the subcategory. Title of category should also link here.
Each category should appear below the previous one.
2. Category page, basically the same as above but instead of broad categories it will have sub categories.
3. Subcategory page, similar layout to askmensubcategory.png. Basically a list of all the articles in a particular subcategory. Thumb, title and one sentence blurb.
4. The actual article itself. A couple of examples of what I'm after are [url removed, login to view], PCMagazine and NatGeoarticle.
For a better description, here's what I need. Breadcrumbs up the top to let people navigate through the article categories. Below that a bold headline, then a slightly less bold subheadline. On the left social sharing buttons (Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and G+), then by "Author Name" and then a picture (with caption) that takes up the full width of the article part.
Then the actual article itself, about 500-800 words, but I guess it doesn't really matter here. Arial font.
At the bottom, a little box that contains TL;DR, which stands for "Too long, didn't read" and should be bolded and the definition should popup when people hover over it.
Below TL;DR, should be space for references.
Below that, a banner that takes up with width of the column.
Below that, DISQUS comments.
Then the site footer...
To the right of the actual article column should be a couple of widgets. The first just being a 300x250 banner ad that I choose when publishing the article.
Below that, a list of the most popular articles (5 with thumbs and blurbs). And below that the same sort of widget but should list the 5 latest articles in the category.
The setup should be optimised for SEO, probably easiest to do it with Allinone SEO tool.
Good luck :)
