Membership Website Structure

I am looking to build a membership website. I am not sure if I want to do it in Wordpress or Joomla 3.1 yet but maybe you could tell me the pros and cons to both in your PM to me. Either platform we still want to accomplish the same thing. I am looking for the initial Home page to be more explanation based like a squeeze page urging membership signup. Member Login is needed of course and purchase or membership options through Paypal is also needed. Once entered into the site either from purchase or through login, the user will see new home page gallery of course modules, with side menu navigation, and banner rotator. Course module links will open up the video list for that module. List modules will have video player image, title, description with read more options, download button links, comments box and button, like, tweet, and share options. Video player to be standard Youtube embed type with option to adjust volume, size/full screen, view on youtube (only if it can be set within youtube to show as private video through our membership site) Need standard membership management options to manage user data like passwords, emails, contact data, etc... Need additional pages for Mentoring Program, Resources, Bonuses, and Contact I want the site to be html5 and css3 compatible and will likely use a base template from Rockettheme or Yootheme for it. Payments for membership are to be setup through paypal only. Membership control is to be handled by whichever free plugin will work for it. All plugins to be used must be free versions without a bunch of ad link crap. I do not want a footer full of other links to other resources we may be using. I want this site to be setup in a manner that everything is labeled accordingly, dead items are removed, and the site is organized ideally. Contact through Skype is a must!!!!! You must be able to communicate through Skype for this project. Will discuss payment arrangements with selected freelancer.
