First off I would like to know whether you have considered other payment gateways aside paypal for your sales, and, if so what advice or experience/service can you lend. I can imagine that Paypal gives a reassuring feeling to the consumer while warranting a large ready-to-pay user base, esp. on the associated platform eBay. However I bet you can think immediately, right now, of at least ONE large payment processor that would let people pay via Paypal AFTER having been selected as payment system.
In other words, this payment processor would be the one proposed to the buyer on the eBay auction, with the reassurance that in the Payment process the buyer can switch to Paypal. By doing so the people would still use Paypal, but eBay wouldn't have direct linear control on the transaction, that would result made in the name of this third party processor for a product that isn't directly identifiable as eBay auction. Doing so I think you would eliminate the possibility for buyers and Ebay to make disputes that limit Paypal accounts or withholding money - it would not be possible because the association between the Paypal process and the eBay product wouldn't be automatic. If you can setup a similar solution for us you will be selected quite quickly if so.
Once you consider this possibility and explain me why it is not suitable, we can proceed towards other solutions including qualified eBay merchant accounts and/or seasoned Paypal accounts to be used for your sales and payments.
I am looking for people that have experience in this area and can help me get the setup.
