I need an Australian timezone based (no exceptions), native English (absolutely no exceptions) PA to assist a Melbourne-based consultant - Australian Timezone (West coast or East coast, it doesn't matter).
I don't need a full-time PA / PM and you don't always need to be available.
Estimated 15 hours per week to begin with, it will increase over time if you want.
This is a PA and PM role. The easy stuff is the PA work... sending emails, transcribing some audio, researching some things, etc.
The PM stuff requires some more skills... you need to be tech savvy, understand the basics of creating web pages, social media marketing concepts, etc... because I want you to keep on top of web development projects and keep pushing along the designer, the coder, test the results, report problems you find, improve on ideas, brainstorm with me, etc.
You'll work with another PA / PM who covers the USA hours... so there's some tag-teaming between "shifts".
FLUENT English required. No exceptions. You'll be tested.
This work can be done from your computer and I only need you to be available for short periods of time throughout the day to send an email, or to chat with me about tasks. So you are able to do other work for other clients.
You need WhatsApp: I generally leave voice messages via WhatsApp asking you to respond to an email, follow up on a contractor, etc.
You need Skype: We need to chat about a project, improve on ideas, get your feedback on a task a coder has finished that you can see isn't working on the website, etc, etc.
I need someone who can:
- Handle all my emails and respond on my behalf. This will require you asking me and asking what kind of response is required, or I might get in first with a voice message telling you what I need. Over time you'll learn more and more and be able to respond yourself.
- Organise tasks that my contractors need... they need a password to something, or want to know if they could make a web page look like A or B.
- Follow things up... you'll need to keep yourself organised so if you're waiting on a response from someone and you don't get it... that you follow them up or contact me to say you've received no response.
- Remind me of things I need to do that I said I would do for a client or contractor.
I've spent 20 years working as a consultant and I need to reduce the amount of time I spend typing / staring at a computer screen, and definitely need to spend less time chasing up contractors who say, "yeh I'll get that done by tomorrow morning" but never do.
IMPORTANT: I am looking for someone who is reasonable tech-savvy. This is a PA job but you WILL be managing coders and designers on web-based projects. I don't expect you to know how to fully code, but you need to keep up with sometimes technical conversations. You won't be doing this technical work... but you will be liaising with contractors who are doing this technical work.
If you have marketing experience (design, print, copyrighting, etc) then I definitely want to hear from you. That's because with any web project, understanding user-experience, and social media marketing, and click tracking, and stuff like that... really helps me a lot.
I'll route certain emails from my project management software to you. You contact me on Skype / WhatsApp and tell me what questions have come in from a contractor. I'll explain what my reply should be and you type / send the reply
