There is one mayour hurdle in your project: Either you have a public IP for the internet connection in your house (very unlikely) OR you need a "relay" on a small server (small VPS) on the web, having a public IP. Otherwise, your server at home is not reachable from public hotspot/hotel (local IP) or via cell connection (CGNAT). After deciding on general setup I can avise on detailed hardware selection.
