I have a set of approx 90 standardized excel files (in .csv format), which all need to be manipulated the same way. I need a script that I can run as I get more of the same files over time. This is what it needs to do (some details removed, will be delivered upon starting the assignment):
Step 1: Delete columns a&b&d&h&j&p&q
Step 2: Insert 4 columns before column A
Step 3: add the following Column Headers in Row 1:
Field A1 =
Field B1 =
Field C1 =
Field D1 =
Field E1 =
Step 4: Insert 7 columns between columns E and F
Step 5: add the following Column Headers in Row 1:
Field F1 =
Field G1 =
Field H1 =
Field I1 =
Field J1 =
Field K1 =
Field L1 =
Field M1 =
Step 6: Remove the "X" throughout column M
Step 7: Move the first cipher from Column M to Column L.
Step 8: add the following Column Headers in Row 1:
Field N1 =
Field O1 =
Field P1 =
Field Q1 =
Field R1 =
Field S1 =
Field T1 =
Field U1 =
Field V1 =
Field W1 =
Step 9:
The text in Column N needs to be abbreviated according to the following rules:
Step 10: Column I must match column E, but all space must be exchange for -'s.
Step 11: Save as .csv and return
