I am an experienced VB6 programmer, but have little experience with developing User Controls. A few years ago, I had an ".INI" reader/writer developed for me, but some of my needs have changed and I need the control to be modified. The existing user control called "[url removed, login to view]" is attached to this project in a zip file.
The small changes I need have to do with the PATH to the .ini file. Right now, the path to the INI file is either [url removed, login to view] as True or False. If True, then the path to the .ini file is [url removed, login to view] (the default). Currently if False, it leads to the Windows/System sub (currently not used or functional). You will be changing this.
I NOW have need to choose between [url removed, login to view] and [new] a user specified path. So, when the programmer chooses FALSE for [url removed, login to view], there needs to be another place to enter the .ini path. IOW, you will be adding a new parameter to the control - INI File Path, when the user chooses FALSE to app.path.
That's it. That's all I need. This should be a cakewalk for anyone who has developed user controls. The control still needs to function with existing .ini file that have been created with this control, you are simply adding an additional path to the .ini file. I need this quickly, but tested and code **well-commented.**
Please examine the existing code to understand what I want BEFORE you bid. This is a small change, so I expect your bid to reflect the small amount of work required. BTW, VB6 only for backwards compatibility. :-)
