I am building an Excel application. Essentially, this application is designed to allow user collaboration by entering data through the spreadsheet into a SQL Server database and then also update data in the spreadsheet from the database, allow the user to mainpulate it, and then push the edits back into the database.
This application will use an Excel-based user interface I have already created to enter data into (and then pull data from) and a SQL Server database that I have already created in SQL Server Express. I have however gotten in a time crunch and need help building an Excel Add-In that essentially has all of the VBA code to "connect" the Excel UI I have developed with the database I have built and provides all of the necessary features. This Add-In will need to contain the VBA code necessary to enter the data entered in the spreadsheet (there are a total of 9 database tables that data will be entered into). Also it must then be able to update the data in Excel from the database, allow the user to make edits to it, and then commit the edits back to the database.
I think this should be relatively straight-forward to accomplish for someone who is good with VBA and has a lot of experience with programming in Excel. There are a total of about 15 worksheets in two Excel workbooks that are setup to enter data into report data from the database. I am pretty desperate as I need to have this ASAP but am working to do it on my own in the meantime. The attached workbook shows the user interface I want to work with which should make it very clear what I am trying to accomplish with Excel Add-In. Only needs to be compatible with Excel 2007 and SQL Server 2005, no backward compatibility/testing required.
