I am creating a custom VTuber avatar that will run inside Unity for livestreaming. I already have a base character model, but I only have images for the gear items (helmets, armor, backpacks, and weapons). I need a 3D artist / Unity developer who can convert these images into 3D models and attach them properly to my character. The final system should allow me to toggle different gear items on and off inside Unity. What I Will Provide: * Base character model (rigged) * Reference images for gear items: * Helmets * Armor * Backpacks * Weapons What I Need Done: 1. Convert the provided reference images into clean 3D models. 2. Attach each item to the correct bone on the character skeleton. * Helmet → head bone * Armor → chest/spine * Backpack → back/spine * Weapon → weapon mount or bone 3. Set up a modular system so multiple items can exist for each category (multiple helmets, armor types, backpacks, and weapons). 4. Create a clean hierarchy inside Unity so gear is organized properly. Example structure: Character ├ Helmets ├ Armor ├ Backpacks └ Weapons 5. Create a simple script that allows gear items to be enabled or disabled. 6. Create a simple UI panel inside Unity where I can toggle gear items (checkboxes or buttons is fine). 7. The avatar must remain compatible with VTuber animation / face tracking. Deliverables: * Blender file with the character and gear attached correctly * Exported FBX models * Unity project or prefab with modular gear setup * Script for enabling/disabling gear * Simple Unity UI panel to toggle gear items Goal: The avatar will be used during livestreams. I want to be able to change helmets, armor, backpacks, or weapons easily. Later I may connect this system to streaming tools or automation. Preferred Skills: * Blender modeling * Unity scripting * Modular character systems * VTuber avatar experience Technical Requirement: Please structure the Unity character as a prefab with organized gear categories so items can easily be toggled. Example hierarchy: Character ├ Head │ └ Helmets ├ Body │ └ Armor ├ Back │ └ Backpacks └ WeaponMount └ Weapons Each category should allow multiple items but only one active item at a time (for example one helmet equipped at a time). The system should include a simple C# script that allows switching items, for example: EquipHelmet(int id) EquipArmor(int id) EquipBackpack(int id) EquipWeapon(int id) A simple Unity UI panel with buttons or dropdowns to toggle equipment is required. External Control Requirement: The equipment system should expose public functions so gear can be changed from external tools later. Example functions: EquipHelmet(int id) EquipArmor(int id) EquipBackpack(int id) EquipWeapon(int id) These functions should be callable from other scripts so the system can later be connected to streaming automation tools (such as OBS or streaming interaction software). The UI panel is only for testing; the core system should rely on scripts that can be triggered externally.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ✅Hi there, hope you are doing well! I have worked on a similar project where I created a modular gear system for a 3D character in Unity, allowing easy toggling of armor and weapons with clean hierarchy and efficient rig attachment. The key to successfully completing this project is ensuring precise attachment of gear items to the correct bones and clean integration within Unity's prefab system for smooth toggling. Approach: ⭕Model each gear item in Blender based on your images ⭕Attach gear to the appropriate bones on the rigged character ⭕Construct a modular prefab structure in Unity with organized gear categories ⭕Develop a simple C# script with methods to equip each gear type by ID ⭕Create a basic UI panel for testing gear toggles ⭕Ensure the system supports later external control integration ❓What format are the reference images in and how many items total will you need modeled? ❓Do you require any specific polycount or style for the gear models? I am confident in delivering a clean, modular gear system that meets livestream VTuber needs with easy toggling and potential for external automation. Thanks, Nam

Hi! This sounds like a fun project, I understand you want to turn your gear reference images into clean 3D models and build a modular system in unity where helmets, armor, backpacks, and weapons can be easily toggled during live streams. I can model the gear in blender, attach each item properly to the correct bones on your rigged avatar, and organize everything into a clean unity prefab hierarchy. And also setting up simple C# functions like equip helmet and equip weapon with a small UI panel so you can switch items quickly while keeping the avatar fully compatible with VTuber animation and tracking. The system will be structured so external tools can trigger the gear changes later. I focus on clean models and organized unity setups so everything runs smoothly for streaming use. I can include a few extra optimized gear variants and ensure the files are easy to expand if you add more equipment later. Best Regards, Mamoud S.

Hi, As per my understanding: You already have a rigged VTuber character model and reference images for gear (helmets, armor, backpacks, weapons). You need these images converted into optimized 3D models, correctly attached to the character skeleton, and organized into a modular equipment system inside Unity. The system should allow multiple items per category but only one active at a time, with a clean prefab hierarchy. It must remain compatible with VTuber animation/face tracking and include a simple UI panel plus C# functions (EquipHelmet, EquipArmor, etc.) so gear can be toggled manually or later controlled by external tools like streaming automation. Implementation approach: I would model the gear assets in Blender based on the provided references, keeping topology clean and optimized for real-time streaming. Each item will be rigged or parented to the appropriate bones (head, spine, back, weapon mount). In Unity, I’ll create a modular prefab structure with organized gear categories and implement a C# equipment manager that activates one item per category. Public functions will allow external script control, while a lightweight UI panel (buttons/dropdowns) will be added for testing gear switching. All assets will be exported as FBX and documented for easy expansion. A few quick questions: Which avatar format are you using (VRM, humanoid rig, or custom rig)? Approximately how many gear items are planned per category initially?

Hi there, I see you need your 2D gear images converted into clean 3D models and fully integrated into your existing VTuber avatar inside Unity. For the past 5 years, I’ve specialized in modular character systems exactly like this, especially for VTubers who need reliable bone attachments and real‑time toggles during livestreams. I’ll model each item in Blender, bind it properly to the correct bones, then set up a clean prefab hierarchy in Unity with multiple item slots per category. I’ll also create the C# equipment functions and a simple UI panel so you can toggle helmets, armor, backpacks, and weapons instantly. Everything will remain face‑tracking compatible. Best regards, Arvin Jay - I have extensive experience with this project before.

Hello! I’m excited about your project to develop a gear system for your VTuber avatar in Unity. It's clear that you want a seamless experience for toggling gear during livestreams, which is essential for engaging viewers. In my previous project, I created a modular character system for a game, successfully translating 2D concepts into 3D models in Blender. Each piece integrated into Unity with a toggle system for users, enhancing flexibility and user interaction. Another project involved building a character customization interface, allowing users to switch out gear dynamically, which is similar to your needs. ✅My Plan - Convert reference images into precise 3D models using Blender. - Attach models to the character skeleton correctly (helmet to head, etc.). - Establish a modular gear system for multiple item options. - Organize the Unity hierarchy per your specifications. - Write C# scripts for gear toggling functionality. - Build a user-friendly UI panel for gear selection. To ensure the best results, are there specific gear styles or themes you’d like to prioritize? Best regards, Osama Khan
