I need a compact multiplayer combat demo built in Unity that lets two five-player teams face off on a single symmetrical map. Think World of Warcraft’s third-person feel, but stripped down to the essentials—no progression, inventory, or persistent accounts. Core play loop • Players pick one of two visually distinct factions; mechanics stay identical. • Each faction offers a Tank (melee + defensive skill) and a Ranged DPS (projectile attack + burst skill). • Health management, ability cooldowns, and a central capture point with a progress bar decide the winner. A match ends when the timer runs out or a team fully claims the objective. Tech & scope • Pure Unity project—host-client architecture is fine. • Online networking can rely on Mirror, Netcode for GameObjects, or another lightweight solution of your choice. • One small grey-box arena is all that’s required. • Cartoonish look is preferred, and I’m happy to rely entirely on free assets from the Unity Asset Store to keep scope tight. Deliverables 1. Complete Unity project folder, ready to open in the latest LTS version. 2. Playable build for Windows demonstrating the full 5 v 5 flow. 3. Brief read-me explaining setup, controls, and any third-party packages used. Acceptance criteria • Up to ten players can connect, select class/faction, and spawn without errors. • Combat, health, and cooldowns replicate correctly across the network. • Capture point logic synchronises for all clients and triggers clear victory conditions. • No external services, databases, or login systems are present. If you can move fast, keep the code clean, and stick to the tiny-but-fun vision above, I’d love to review your proposal and timeframe.
