Unity or Blender etc. 3D effect needed with dynamic input image and text

I see that it is a somewhat simple endeavor to create a simple AR app such seen here (in Unity 3D):

I need something similar, except that a user can upload the image and text and when a user uses his/her phone camera on the uploaded image, the text displays above that image. The app doesn't have to be built via Unity 3D, I'm open to suggestions for a web friendly framework (I'm not so concerned about downloadable mobile apps at this time).
