Custom Wool Carpets – Jaipur Production

I’m sourcing a Jaipur-based workshop that can take my own patterns and translate them into high-quality, fully hand-knotted wool carpets. Each piece will follow a customised design rather than a standard traditional or modern template, so I need a team that is comfortable interpreting detailed artwork, matching colours precisely and respecting intricate knot counts. The immediate requirement is a 3.6×2.3 metre carpet, with the possibility of additional sizes once we establish a smooth workflow. Pure wool is mandatory for pile and warp; please specify the yarn quality and dyeing process you typically use so I can be sure it meets our durability and colour-fastness expectations. Deliverables • Digital strike-off or small woven sample for design approval • One finished 4 × 6 m hand-knotted wool carpet, trimmed, washed and ready for export • High-resolution progress photos at agreed milestones Acceptance criteria • Knot density and pattern must match the approved sample within a ±2 % tolerance • Final dimensions accurate within ±3 cm • No colour bleeding or visible weaving flaws on inspection If your looms can accommodate this size and you have experience shipping internationally, let’s discuss timelines and any minimum order requirements. Important note This is a long-term collaboration project. If the first carpet meets quality expectations, I will likely commission additional large custom pieces for an architectural interior in Europe.
