I run a heritage saree-weaving unit and I’m ready to expand our catalogue with fresh sketches that stay loyal to classical aesthetics. You’ll translate my verbal ideas into clear, production-ready artwork for silk drapes, always keeping a traditional look and floral motif vocabulary at the centre. Here’s what I expect from you: craft borders, pallu layouts and repeat motifs that marry my colour directions with timeless design grammar, then supply the drawings in either neat hand-rendered scans or vector files (Illustrator, Corel, or any textile CAD you’re comfortable with). A working knowledge of how patterns sit on a six-yard silk canvas is essential, because loom constraints guide many of my requests. Typical flow: I share rough references or voice notes, you return an initial sketch, we refine together, and you deliver final artwork plus colour call-outs I can hand straight to the weavers. Two rounds of tweaks per design are built in so we can perfect every detail. If you’ve previously created traditional sarees—especially floral silks—attach a couple of relevant samples so I can gauge your line quality and motif balance. I’m keen to start with a small batch and, if we click, move into an ongoing collaboration across seasons.

Hi! Let me introduce myself, I am Wimei, I am a vocational high school student majoring in textile! I am very interested in taking this job! Even though my status is still a student.. I have quite a bit of experience in designing motifs on fabric, this is not far from batik.. even though there are differences, I think the knowledge of designing it is still the same! we can do it... and the history of batik is also related to motifs in India, including Saree!
