We are looking to expand our sales team by outsourcing. We provide online advertising to private sellers, and have an excellent track record of quality service.
For this project, we are considering two levels of agents: agents with strong sales backgrounds as potential closers, contacting prospective clients, informing them of our services, and attempting to bring the client to the website to make a purchase, or prospecting agents, who can very briefly call prospective clients and inform them of just enough information for them to agree to be sent more information via email and a follow up call from a closer.
We will gauge which of these two levels, if any, you are qualified for after a phone interview and a test run. Our expectation for candidates to apply include the following:
1)Excellent English, American accents: If I can tell in your voice that you're not born and raised in North America, don't apply. It's not that we have any issue with it ourselves, but every attempt we have made to be forgiving on this has resulted in agents working very hard and making no money. In our industry, accents WILL result in you getting next to no sales--period. We have a little wiggle room for European or Australian accents, but even then, you must be very clear and easily understood by Canadian and American ears.
2)A home office environment: You will already have skype, a good internet connection, and a quiet office home environment in which to potentially work 4-8 hours per day.
3)Sales experience: customer service experience just doesn't cut it--you need to have a background in pitching, sales, and and sealing the deal. We don't have the time or the interest to teach you how to sell from the ground up--we want good, solid agents who can hit the ground from day one.
