Questions: 1) Which standard governs (EN 1993 + EN 1090 with execution class, or AISC/BS), and required bolt grades, weld processes, and service limits (drift/seismic/deflection)? 2) Is connection design delegated (with calc pack) or prescriptive by EOR, and what are finish specs (HDG/paint), target model LOD (300/400), and exchange formats (IFC/DWG) for MEP/embeds? Suggestions: 1) Use Tekla as the single source with tailored connection macros to standardize details and auto-generate numbering, BOMs, and NC1/DXF/KSS for CNC. 2) Run a weekly IFC coordination/clash cycle and enforce a strict revision/status convention with an RFI log to cut rework and speed approvals. Action Plan: - Kickoff: gather drawings/loads/grid/finishes; confirm codes; issue RFI list. - Model + GA: build Tekla model; prelim GA plans/sections for approval. - Connections: design/detail plates/bolts/welds; sample sheets; optional calc note. - Fabrication: finalize assemblies/parts; BOM/bolt lists; NC1/DXF/IFC. - QA/Issue: two-check review; Rev A PDFs + native files; compliance note; fast revisions.
