I’m bringing a new Technical Support Specialist onto our team to handle real-time, in-app chat conversations with our users. Your primary focus will be answering general inquiries quickly and clearly while maintaining a friendly, professional tone that reflects our brand. What you’ll do • Monitor the in-app chat queue and respond to questions within our target response time. • Guide users through basic troubleshooting steps or direct them to the appropriate self-help resources. • Capture concise, accurate notes for every conversation so future agents can see the full history. • Escalate complex technical issues to our senior engineers when needed and follow up until the user confirms the matter is resolved. • Spot recurring questions or pain points and flag them for our product team. What I’m looking for • Confidence in live, chat-based customer support. Voice or email experience is a bonus but not required. • Solid written English and the ability to simplify technical terms for non-technical users. • Reliability—consistent availability during the agreed shift window and prompt communication if anything changes. • A calm, solutions-oriented mindset that keeps users reassured, even when they’re frustrated.
