I'm a beekeeper who needs electronical support. There are some projects in the web, but there is no system which is usable AND based on the esp32. For example in german language is "[login to view URL]", maybe you can use google-translater for support ;-)
I want a system which controls up to 6 pieces of BME280 and 5 pcs of hx711 for the load cells. The system has to measure the humidity and the temperature of the inside of 5 hives and the weight of the 5 hives in a frequency of 5 minutes. After that the data has to be sent with a gsm-module sim800 to anywhere where the data can be stored. But the main-problem is the low-energy-problem. One 18650-LIION-Accu should stay for one year, when possible. And additional the system has to send an SMS, when one hive loose more than 2000g in about 10 Minutes (A swarm alarm, when the half of the bees leaves the hive to found a new population)
After that you make an android-app or a website where I can see the data and can export it to a csv-file. It is also possible to use another site which offers this support for free or only a few bugs a year. I want a graph-chart for every hive with weight, temperature and humidity. Also there should be an additional graph for the weather (the BME280 of the gateway with temp and humidity). The software should be able to manage more systems (I have more than one spot to control ;-) ).
I am a busy man, so it is not possible to support you with tests or something else. So you should have the hardware or include it to buy it in your price-calculation. There is no problem to discuss options of the way how you will realize it. But in my last try, the freelancer has no hardware and I had to do a new tests every three minutes. All in one my last try was a very bad experience, so please let me get back my trust in freelancer.com ;-).
Which kind of technique? So, that is your decision. You can use Arduinos for communication, you can use another ESP's for communication. Please make a plan, then we discuss it, and then we start. For me the best way would be one esp32 as a gateway with one bme280 and the gsm-module and for every hive one esp32 with a BME280 and a hx711-module (between the MCU and the hx711 should be 70cm cable). When this would be possible, maybe we can rise the possible hives for one gateway to more than 5 ;-). The main-aspect is not the price, the main-aspect is the functionality and the energy-saving.
It is nice when you make an offer with "delivering in one day". But this can't work, because it is necessary to buy the equipment on the internet, and you have to calculate with one week for delivering. I want to use the system in April, so this is the time you have. When I have all the stuff you told me, I will solder the technic and will test it. You should give me a week for this work...
I pay the money to freelancer.com before you begin. When I checked the hardware, you will get 25%, another 25% you will get for the software and for finishing the project, you will get the rest of 50%, when I have tested it successfully. But there is no further discussion for earlier money. My last try for this system in 2020 ends with loosing 75% of my money with no working system and a lost of 4 swarms..... Your calculation should include your time for planing and realizing. Also, you need hardware, and maybe a testing-SIMcard and the shipping costs for them. If you need webspace, I will find some ;-)
