Modern Minimalist Squarespace Redesign

@rajat07me

Your Squarespace 7.1 site doesn’t need a heavier redesign—it needs a cleaner structure on the homepage and better visual balance so the images/video feel intentional instead of just placed in. I’d approach this by rebuilding the homepage flow first, then tightening typography, spacing, section rhythm, and any CSS-level details needed to get that polished minimalist feel without making the site feel empty. I work inside Squarespace 7.1 regularly, including style settings, fluid sections, custom CSS, and light code injection where native controls are not enough. This kind of facelift works best when the design is simplified carefully, because minimal sites can easily end up looking plain if the hierarchy and spacing are not handled properly. I can also include a short handoff note so you know exactly what was customized. - Is the homepage the main page being redesigned, or are there 1-2 supporting pages that should visually match it as well? - Do you already have example sites that match the modern minimal direction you want? - Will the embedded video stay in its current place, or are you open to repositioning it for a cleaner layout?

Hi, hope you're doing well! I'd love to give your Squarespace site a clean, modern refresh that feels light and visually sharp. Here's my approach: Homepage redesign with a fresh, uncluttered layout that draws attention to what matters most. Visual refinement of images and video so everything fits naturally within a minimalist style. Custom CSS and code injection where needed, with a clear handoff note so you can maintain everything easily. A few questions to help me get started: 1. Do you have a style direction in mind, such as specific fonts, colors, or sites you admire? 2. Are there any sections on your current homepage you want to keep, or is everything open to change? 3. Do you have a target date you'd like the redesign completed by? Looking forward to making your site feel exactly how you envision it! Azeem Amin

Hi — Elias here from Miami. I understand you're looking to refresh your Squarespace site to achieve a clean, modern look. The goal is to enhance user experience while ensuring your brand message stands out effectively. What usually matters most here is ensuring the redesign not only looks good but also maintains optimal functionality. A common issue in projects like this is balancing aesthetic changes with the underlying code to avoid disruptions. The tricky part is usually ensuring that any customizations remain manageable and that any future updates to Squarespace don't break your design. My approach would involve a thorough review of your existing site, followed by a structured redesign that prioritizes both aesthetics and usability. I focus on creating a stable foundation that allows for easy updates and scalability. I've successfully worked on similar redesigns, ensuring that both user experience and site performance are optimized. A few questions to better understand the scope: Q1 – What specific elements of the current design are you looking to retain or change? Q2 – Are there particular user interactions or features you want to emphasize in the redesign? Q3 – Do you have any integration needs with other tools or platforms that should be considered? Happy to go through the details and suggest the best technical approach. Looking forward to hearing from you.

@mycoders07

Hi, I would rebuild the homepage around a cleaner visual hierarchy, stronger spacing, typography, and more intentional image/video placement while keeping the site lightweight and easy to navigate. I would work directly within Squarespace 7.1 using its native sections and style controls, adding custom CSS or code injection only where it provides a clear benefit. I would first refine the existing structure, then implement the new layout and test it across desktop, tablet, and mobile before publishing. The hand-off would include the live updated site and a concise note documenting any custom CSS and design adjustments, so future maintenance remains straightforward. Thank you

@ranjika08

A minimalist facelift on Squarespace 7.1 usually succeeds or fails on layout discipline more than decoration. In your case, the real goal is to make the homepage feel fresh and contemporary while keeping media elements cohesive, light, and easy to scan. I’d focus first on reworking the page structure, then refine sections, imagery, and any CSS touches needed to make everything feel consistent. I’ve handled Squarespace redesigns where the challenge was not building from scratch, but modernizing an existing site without losing usability. Working within 7.1’s style settings, blocks, and custom CSS is very workable when the visual direction is clear, and I can document any custom tweaks at handoff so future edits stay manageable. A couple of details would help me shape this properly: - How many sections does your current homepage have, and are there any sections you already know should stay? - Are the images/videos already finalized, or would you want help choosing a cleaner presentation style for them? - Do you prefer a very restrained monochrome look, or a minimalist style with a bit of warmth/personality?
