Migration from Wix Needed to Squarespace, adding new content and sections

@rajat07me

Your Wix site needs more than a straight transfer—you want the move to Squarespace to feel cleaner, more structured, and stronger for professional credibility around your services, events, and public profile. The risk in projects like this is ending up with a site that technically migrates but still feels stitched together, so I’d rebuild the structure first, then migrate content into a more polished Squarespace layout with the new sections planned properly from the start. I’ve handled CMS redesigns where content had to be preserved carefully while the presentation was completely refreshed, including image/media transfer, mobile cleanup, basic SEO retention, and domain connection. Squarespace works well for this kind of professional brand site when the hierarchy, typography, and section flow are set up thoughtfully. To map this properly, I just need a bit of detail on the current scope. - Roughly how many existing pages are on the Wix site now? - Do you already have examples of Squarespace sites/styles you like? - Which new sections are definitely required in phase one besides services, events, awards, and leadership?

Hi there, I can help migrate everything to Squarespace while redesigning the site to enhance its visual appeal and functionality. My approach would involve first ensuring a seamless transfer of your existing content—text, images, and media—while maintaining quality. I will then focus on creating a fresh, modern design, incorporating your ideas on structure and color. Adding new sections for services, event highlights, and awards will elevate the site. I will ensure the layout is mobile-responsive and optimized for SEO. Once completed, I’ll provide you with a detailed handover so you can manage basic edits easily. @installerpoint

Hello, I can migrate your Wix site to Squarespace while reshaping it into a cleaner, modern professional-services website. I’ll preserve your text, images, media, SEO essentials, and domain setup, then build organized sections for services, conferences, awards, and community leadership with responsive layouts and Squarespace-native styling or custom CSS where useful. I’ll also provide a clear handover guide for routine edits. A valuable improvement would be a structured events archive with reusable content blocks for easier future updates. Check out my portfolio here:- https://www.freelancer.com/u/installerpoint Best Regards, Muhammad Adeel

@ranjika08

This sounds like a redesign-led migration rather than a basic platform switch, which is the right way to handle a professional services site tied to conferences, events, and reputation. If the structure is not rethought during migration, those added sections can make the site feel crowded, so I’d first organize the content flow and then rebuild it in Squarespace with a cleaner visual system and better page hierarchy. I’ve worked on website refreshes where the goal was to preserve content quality while improving branding, mobile presentation, editability, and search basics. For Squarespace specifically, I’d keep the build easy for you to manage later, while still using the platform’s stronger layouts, styling options, and light custom CSS where needed. A few details would help pin down the best setup. - About how many pages/content pieces are being moved from Wix? - Is there a preferred Squarespace template family you want to start from, or should I suggest one? - Will the events/conference content live on one showcase page or across separate entries/collections?

Hi! My name is Marjan and I'm here to offer you my services as a skilled applicant with over a decade of experience working on Freelancer.com. I believe I am the best fit candidate for this project due to my extensive experience; I would like to have a discussion to get to know that we both are on the same page. Once the scope will be locked, I will start working on it right away.

@starttechno

Your Wix content can move into a fresh Squarespace structure rather than being copied page-for-page: I’ll map the existing services, conferences/events, images and media, then shape expanded services, awards, recognition and community leadership sections around a clean visual system. Within 4 days, you’ll receive the redesigned Squarespace site with migrated content, domain pointing, responsive layouts, preserved or improved on-page SEO, and a simple editing guide. I’ll use a suitable native template, refine its typography and colour system, and add focused custom CSS only where it improves the brand. I don’t have a Squarespace case study to claim here, but I’ll keep the implementation maintainable and easy for you to manage after handover. Do you already have access to the Wix domain settings for pointing the domain to Squarespace? Muhammad Saad

@NNSHAJAHAN

Hello Moniflores, I can migrate your Wix website to Squarespace while giving it a completely fresh, modern and professional design. I’ll carefully transfer all pages, text, images and media, point the domain correctly, add the new service/event/recognition sections, and ensure a responsive, SEO-friendly result. I’ll use Squarespace-native features with custom CSS where beneficial and provide a simple handover guide. I can also share relevant Squarespace work and a clear timeline/cost. Regards, Md. S.

@Joya1996

Migrating from Wix to Squarespace while also expanding the site is really a content-architecture job as much as a design job. The main challenge is making sure the new sections—services, event highlights, awards, and leadership—feel intentionally placed instead of added on later, so I’d redesign around those priorities first and then move the existing text, images, and media into that new structure. I’ve done redesign-focused CMS work where clients wanted a sharper visual identity without losing the substance already built into the old site. That includes responsive cleanup, preserving image quality, improving page organization, connecting the domain properly, and leaving the client with a simple editing process after handover. I can also include a short editing guide so updates stay easy after launch. - Can you share your current Wix URL? - Roughly how many new sections or pages do you expect beyond the current site? - Do you want the awards/community pieces woven into existing pages, or treated as dedicated standalone sections?
