I have 2 API calls which are run numerous times a day and on each run its pulling in the entire day's worth fo data for the day. In other words, it is NOT getting the incremental data.
This data is just a straight insert into a table each time the data is loaded.
I would like to create another table which holds historical and current and current data is MERGED based on the last run. Also if the job fails let's say it would get all the data in between the day's as well.
Please let me know if this is possible ....and how this would be done in MSSQL without SSIS.

I have worked on conventional methods like SCD to store historical data. If your looking for ETL solution for the requirement, I would get this work done. If interested contact me. Thank You...
I write ETLs all the time using SSIS, but you can accomplish the same thing using a simple stored procedure and it will be easier for you to alter later on if necessary. Mark
