We need someone experienced in automatic data transfer between 2 different SQL databases residing on 2 different servers.
1. We have a Commercial Cash Register program that updates the its Sales database when customer pays for their order.
SQL Database A on Server1
2. We have an internal Order Details database that managers our order details
SQL Database B on Server 2
Both servers are on the same internal network.
When a customer pays at the register, [login to view URL] is updated with the order number and amount paid.
We want to automatically trigger an update in our [login to view URL] with similar information
There are only approximately 100 orders per day, so this is not something that has large volume of data to move.
Currently our operators are manually having to update the order status at the end of the day, so we want to do away with that need.
The application behind Database A, has no configurable integration capabilities, so we need to do this via integrating with the database itself when records are added.
We have looked at SQL Service Broker (SSBS) as a possible method of doing this but you may have simpler alternatives to offer.
