SQL Query

I need query how to update one table (MS SQL Compact Edition 2005 database). Table has 3 fields. One field is autonumber primary key. Two other fields are needed to update. One fiield stores number. Second field stores description (text). I need to update table with data I have in txt file or excel file. I was able to open database and view tables, but cannot update it since i dont know how to do it.
