A punch, die and product needs to be designed, the die must have a blank holder force in order to keep the sheet metal in place, the die and punch must also be designed in order to compensate for spring back during the forming operation, hand calculation containing stress, strain torque etc. will need to be noted and along side finite element analysis to ensure that it's possible to design the product without any breakage to the sheet metal.
Note, this task does not provide a detailed description therefore all the details such as dimensions will be made up to suit a real like model of the product. A solidworks rough idea will be provided
1) You would be required to calculate the initial thickness of a sheet metal if the final thick is 7mm after forming operation
2) You would need to design a die, punch, the product, alignment pin and the blank holder.
3) You need to run simulation on finite element analysis.
4) write a step by step report on everything you have done.
