The project is a compact, bipedal humanoid that will rely on a PA-CF 3D-printed chassis and 21 actuators. I need a complete mechanical design package created exclusively in Fusion 360, ready for immediate prototyping and eventual low-volume production. Scope of work – Model the entire skeleton, shell and joint architecture so every component is ready for direct PA-CF printing without post-machining. – Integrate 21 actuators (servo or BLDC) with realistic torque, weight and envelope constraints; include mounts, brackets, gear trains or harmonic drives where necessary. – Optimise wall thicknesses, ribs and lattice infill for strength-to-weight, thermal dissipation and print time. – Plan fasteners, cable routing and access points to keep the robot serviceable. – Apply DFM/DFAM principles throughout, detailing print orientation, support strategy and critical tolerances. Deliverables • Native Fusion 360 file set (components, assemblies, motion study) • Exported STEP and STL files for every part ready for slicing • 2D fabrication drawings with critical dimensions and tolerances • Assembly drawings, exploded views and labelled BOM • Brief DFM report summarising print settings, material usage and post-processing notes Acceptance criteria A design review in Fusion 360 using the web viewer will confirm fit, actuator clearances, weight targets and printability on a 300 × 300 × 400 mm build volume before final sign-off. When you respond, please highlight your direct experience with robotics or load-bearing 3D-printed assemblies in Fusion 360.

With my background in CAD and specifically with Fusion 360, I have a breadth of experience that makes me well-equipped for your robotics mechanical design project. Throughout my career, I have focused on continually improving my skills to include sketching, 3D modeling, rendering, lofting, simulation, and form modeling – all of which align perfectly with your project requirements. In terms of robotics and load-bearing 3D-printed assemblies, I have successfully completed similar projects before and have rigorously implemented DFM/DFAM principles - just as you require. My main goal is to create a design that's not only functional but also considers the most efficient use of materials and the maximum lifespan so it can withstand the challenges of your bipedal humanoid robot. Another crucial aspect of any project is punctuality in meeting deadlines. As an individual who deeply values discipline and preparation, I absolutely respect timeliness as much as you do. This means you can rely on me to both respect schedules and deliver results that precisely align with your specifications. Let me use my training and background to provide you with a world-class mechanical design package for your robot.

Given the scope of work, I will create a comprehensive mechanical design package in Fusion 360 for the bipedal humanoid robot. I will model the entire skeleton, shell, and joint architecture, ensuring every component is ready for direct PA-CF printing without post-machining. I will also integrate 21 actuators with realistic torque, weight, and envelope constraints, optimize wall thicknesses, ribs, and lattice infill for strength-to-weight, thermal dissipation, and print time. Furthermore, I will plan fasteners, cable routing, and access points to keep the robot serviceable. I will apply DFM/DFAM principles throughout, detailing print orientation, support strategy, and critical tolerances. As a skilled 3D designer with proficiency in 3D Modelling and 3D Design, I am confident in delivering the required deliverables, including a native Fusion 360 file set, exported STEP and STL files, 2D fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and a DFM report. Can you provide more details on the specific requirements for the actuators and their integration?

I’m interested in developing your complete humanoid mechanical design package exclusively in Fusion 360. I have 5+ years of experience in mechanical CAD, robotics-style mechanisms, functional assemblies, and engineering-grade 3D-printed structures, with a strong focus on parametric modelling and DFAM. I can develop the complete skeleton, shell, joint architecture, actuator mounts, brackets, gear/harmonic-drive interfaces, fastener locations, cable routing, service access, and structural reinforcement while keeping the 300 × 300 × 400 mm print volume in mind. The 21 actuators will be integrated according to their actual torque, weight, dimensions, mounting interfaces, and clearance requirements rather than using simplified placeholder geometry. For the PA-CF chassis, I’ll optimise wall thickness, ribs, load paths, interfaces, print orientation, support requirements, tolerances, and infill strategy to achieve a practical strength-to-weight balance without unnecessary print time or material. I’ll also maintain proper clearances between moving joints and surrounding components. Deliverables will include the native Fusion 360 component/assembly files, motion study, STEP/STL files for every part, detailed 2D drawings, assembly/exploded views, labelled BOM, and a concise DFM/DFAM report covering printing and post-processing considerations.

I can assist with the technical development of the humanoid robot concept, particularly where embedded systems, actuator integration, electronics packaging, cable routing, and mechanical-electrical interfaces are involved. I want to be transparent that I cannot claim direct professional experience designing load-bearing humanoid assemblies in Fusion 360, so I would not represent myself as a specialist mechanical CAD engineer for this complete package. If you are open to support on the electronics/embedded integration side, I can contribute to actuator requirements, controller and wiring considerations, PCB/electronics packaging, cable routing constraints, service access, and coordination with the mechanical CAD design. For the complete Fusion 360 mechanical package, I recommend assigning it to a specialist with demonstrated robotics and PA-CF DFAM experience.
