I run [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view] . I have cleaned them up from the original FrontPage code to be CSS-driven without extraneous HTML or tables.
I cannot keep up with the changes that cause them not to render well in Firefox especially, and somewhat IE8. I know some things are not validating correctly but at least half the explanations in the W3C validator are beyond my knowledge level.
In Firefox some of my interactive buttons do not link to their pages although the same buttons do fine in other browsers. In Firefox my alt= text on my images does not appear. In Firefox the links I have on some images do not work.
I would like to UNDERSTAND what I am reading in the validator.
I would like to CORRECT these errors on 5-6 types of pages I have - product information vs. shopping vs. information on my two sites. If I understand the correct code I can easily propagate it to my other pages. I have written code in a past life and am not afraid of it.
I would like to be able to KEEP UP with changes needed as browsers change so my sites stay clean and validated.
If the above do not solve my Firefox problems then I would like to know how to specifically get FIREFOX TO RENDER correctly, especially on my [url removed, login to view] site. It works fairly well on my [url removed, login to view] site.
My current method is trial and error, and to compare a poor page with a working page to see where the differences are.
