Method to convert data from a proprietary Data Exchange File to CSV or JSON

I have data that is stored in a certain software program. This software program has an Export Data Exchange function that outputs a Data Exchange file. This is usually used for transferring the data to the same software program on another computer.

But I need a way to open this Data Exchange File and convert the exported data to a common data format, such as CSV or JSON. I can provide both the software and the data file. I do not recognize the format of the data exchange file, nor do I know how the data is stored in this file.

I need the data converted, and I also need instructions on how I can do this myself in the future. I am a software developer.

There is not a lot of data in my sample file, but the method must be able to work with lots of data when I do it myself later.

This project should be rather simple for someone who knows how to identify and extract data, or perhaps decompile the software to see how they are saving the data in the first place.
