Thanks, GrantF, for your invitation. Popcorn. I study your information This is an interesting problem. I saw the video and, as I am an electrical power engineer and lead a team which made one-line diagram. I would ask you:
1- The actual software can select only segments of the branch between nodes, but not all the branch. This is a limitation or it is as was intended? What about line segments connecting resistors, inductors or capacitors to nodes? These are usually a complete branch.
2- I understand you intend a software for make easier the troubleshoot process in the electric circuit. Does the intended software follow the ANSI or IEC drawing standards? In the change of directions of segment of the lines in the Yaesu sample are filleted but not in the Pa.
3- Which one Delphi version is acceptable?
4- Which basic Delphi framework (raw Object Pascal, VCL or FMX) do you use actually in the intended Delphi application?
5- Do you need more than a drawing in a single TIFF file?
On the other hand, I repeat some of my past statements. Although I am a newbie in the freelancer world, I have worked with at Delphi since 1997 with Delphi 3 until Delphi Seattle and Rad Studio 10.2 now(not Rio). I am, also, software architect.
As a plus, I could model it before starting with Uml diagrams to understand all the requirements. This is important if we can make a long and wide relationship,
Please let me know if this project is available because it's a good fit for my career.
