Hi, for sure is possible to enter data into database without using the main application when you know exaclty how it works and wich fields need to be filled. Would it be possible to have a copy of the legacy software so I can analyse the way data is saved? Maybe we could skip the UI completely and interact with it via their data files. I've been coding for over 20 years, I am sure there is a way.

Dear Sir, How we approach this particular problem is a matter of the underlying office-based management software installed. If it is a tiered application (in essence one that uses a local or shared database) then the possibility is high that we can directly read and write records from this database as there is a variety of access methods and libraries available for a great number of database engines. If on the other hand it happens that it is a very proprietary database then other techniques can be considered. If the application, itself, is of a particular type then we can use a very legacy mode of referencing window handlers and fields to achieve the same result. In essence this would programatically simulate the opening of windows or menu items, the filling out of fields and the clicking of buttons. It is a much longer and more technical complex means of achieving the result which is why the former approach is more appealing. I would be more than happy to assist you in this objective. Hi GarveyTech, From the Job Description, I understood that the bookings are made manually and the staff are using a legacy application to make bookings. 1) I assume that these bookings are stored electronically. Then it's a straight forward solution to read data and upload it another database. 2) If the first case is not true, I assume that the staff inputs data manually from a hard copy. Then you need an application to automate the process of extracting the data from the document and upload it to another database to avoid duplicates. Correct me if I am wrong. Hey there! Yes this is possible but of course automating the UI isn't the most practical solution. It is possible and I did that before. It can be achieved with the Windows Automation COM library. Optionally a research over the software structure can be done in order to figure out how and where that data is stored - in a local file or remote database. Then we can connect directly with the database or read the data files to download or write data inside. With that approach we can keep the relations between the data tables and preserve the data quality when downloading. If it's not possible to read the database (the chance to be unable is very very low) I can automate the UI for sure. I've built tens small apps and two employee tracking systems which depend on the Windows Automation library to extract data from browsers and apps and I can confirm it's a powerful approach. Speech Recognisation Train the database using deep learning, doing language model and lexical model for Arabic , adding functions to increase different types of noise at different levels as the picture shows.
