Any python file technically is a package or library and can be called from other python files as long as it is available on the search path. But distributing it publicly and to external end points, one needs to create the package using setuptools or disutils which can be downloaded or included as part of requirements in another project etc. 2. Complicated is a subjective term, but one of the most challening python systems I developed and implemented was to analyze raw telescopic data as part of a project I did while doing research at Caltech to potentially identify and classify Astrophysical objects and systems in a pipeline. The complexity came from the fact that the work involved handling massive image data in raw format, and doing calculations and data analysis using a number of complex and intricate mathematical and physical formulas etc 3. 1. Creating a new package is simple. One just have to create a python file with .py extension and the name of that python file will be the name of the new package/utility created. In this python file, you can define functions, use classes and anything that you'd like to do in that package. To use it in some other python file, there are two ways to do so. a) - By keeping that utility/package python file in the same folder where the other python file is. b) - Use the command $python -m site on the terminal and you'll see a bunch of folders. Alternately placing the utility package in any of these can make your package universal, i.e., it can be accessed by any other python file in your system. 2. The most complicated python code that I've ever read or wrote was of a crypto-currency-bot.
