Need to know if you can make a custom mod that basically incorporates a variation of two of existing mods - Edit Shopping Cart Zencart Mod for Customers, and Group Pricing Per Item Zencart Mod Installation
My customer wants to allow for per-customer unique pricing along with editable prices at checkout, with the data sourced from an existing Foxpro database. If this is something you can do, please let me know.
Summary of the requirements:
There exists a table of approx 200 customers who have unique prices per product in a Foxpro database of approx 400 products. They have a Zen cart that already has populated product data, no customer data, and no mods other than Easy Populate.
This Foxpro database is on a local machine, so a procedure will need to be developed to extract the customer, price and product data from Foxpro to get it into Zen Cart.
Customers can be identified by a 4-digit code - the code can be used as the password in Zen to identify the customer.
These unique prices per customer need to be reflected in product pages of Zen cart when the customer logs in. By default, when not logged in, no price is displayed.
The Unit Price in "Your Shopping Cart Contents" Page also needs to display the unique prices for that customer.
The Unit Price field in "Your Shopping Cart Contents" Page needs to be editable by the customer, ie they can over-ride the displayed price.
The edited price value must be saved for this cart only, and continue on to the completion of checkout process and be shown in the final order, and in the order Admin interface.
The changes made must be made in such a way as to ensure version upgrades can be done seamlessly to the Zen cart in the future without having to re-write this modification.
