Which method are you using for inventory upload — LSMW or direct BAPI? Will Excel reports read SAP tables or do you want export → Excel refresh? Are material codes already finalized in SAP or coming from Excel? I went through your description carefully. I’ve handled SAP MM inventory upload + Excel reporting before. Hi, this is Ambar Shome, I work independently but also run Shome & Associates for larger projects. Work here looks mostly data cleanup + correct mapping before upload. If mapping is right, SAP import usually goes smooth, if not then errors keep coming. I will first clean the sheets, fix material / plant / sloc mapping, then prepare LSMW-ready file. Before final upload I normally compare totals in Excel to avoid qty mismatch later. Helps a lot. For reports, I prefer Excel with Power Query reading SAP tables (MARD / MSEG / MBEW) and then pivot on top. Faster than manual export each time. Ageing and slow-moving I calculate in Excel itself, easier to change later. I also keep small checks — duplicate material, wrong unit, negative stock, missing sloc, and mismatch after import. These things usually cause trouble. Dashboard + pivot + reorder calc no problem. One thing to confirm — should Excel connect live to SAP, yes / no?
