Tanzania Textile Field Sales Agent

I need a hands-on field sales agent, based anywhere in Tanzania, to grow my textiles and garments business. Your primary focus will be visiting fabric retailers, boutiques, wholesalers, and potential institutional buyers, presenting our product line, negotiating MOQs, and closing orders that can be fulfilled from our Dar es Salaam warehouse. I am looking for someone at a solid mid-level: you already understand the Tanzanian apparel market, have an established network, and know how to convert a warm conversation into a signed purchase order without constant supervision. Tele- or social-media outreach can complement your work, but the core of the role is in-person relationship building, territory planning, and regular store or buyer visits. Key responsibilities • Map and prioritise high-potential accounts in major cities and regional hubs • Present samples, price lists, and seasonal offers; gather feedback for our production team • Achieve monthly sales targets and report progress weekly (simple Excel or Google Sheets is fine) • Coordinate with our logistics team so deliveries land on time and in full • Keep tabs on competitor activity and pricing so we stay competitive What success looks like • First orders booked within 30 days • Pipeline valued at 3× monthly target by the end of month two • Accurate, on-time reporting so we can replenish stock proactively If you can demonstrate recent wins in fabric, fashion, or related FMCG categories and are ready to hit the road quickly, let’s talk and set up a short trial territory.
