I need a sales professional who can move my gourmet popcorn from our production floor onto the shelves of major retail chains. The job is all about retail partnerships, so door-to-door work or small specialty shops aren’t the focus here. My priority is someone who already understands how large chains evaluate new products—their onboarding paperwork, shelf-allocation rules, promotional fee structures, and compliance requirements. If you can speak the language of category buyers, navigate slotting fees, and anticipate the data they want to see (velocity forecasts, margins, planogram fit, etc.), you’re exactly who I’m after. You’ll be expected to: • Identify the right category managers or buyers at top nationwide chains. • Pitch the product line and secure meetings or category reviews. • Guide us through each chain’s documentation, quality audits, and labeling specs. • Deliver at least one signed vendor agreement or an agreed-upon trial listing as proof of success. I’ll supply product samples, sell sheets, margin data, and marketing assets; you bring the contacts and know-how.
