Looking for a Rails developer to assist with creating a user login feature for a web app. Instead of a traditional signup form, users will be able to sign in using either Facebook or Twitter login. A session should be created to recognize users who have logged in to the app previously. All routes other than the site's index page should redirect the user to the index page to login if they are currently logged out of the app or have not signed in before. In addition, upon signing in to the app for the first time with Facebook login, the app should detect if the user is an admin of any Facebook pages and if so, prompt the user to select one or more pages to grant permission to the app to post updates to the respective page.
This is just the first part of the app we are looking to have done and if everything goes well and we are comfortable working together, you may be asked to continue implementing further features.
The right candidate will have experience in deploying SaaS applications using the Ruby on Rails framework and will be intimately familiar with a code versioning tool such as GIT, SVN etc. Experience with developing Facebook apps will be an advantage. You should also be comfortable outlining and updating your daily tasks as you complete them, in a group collaboration tool like Asana. This is mainly to facilitate easy communication of what stage of completion the job is at without bouncing excessive emails back and forth.
