I am in the food business and I am looking to build a structure for a new restaurant. Because of the cost effectiveness of the "Quonset" or arch type, prefab systems, I am leaning in this direction. But, I do not want it to look like the WWII Quonset huts or like a basic agriculture building used for storing hay or equipment. It needs to be striking in appearance while maintaining it's cost effectiveness.
If room on the property allows, I will grow my vegetables there rather than in my home garden, which will include a high tunnel greenhouse (same shape).
I would want the option of a side or end entrance. If it were the end, I would want the end wall to be recessed in by several feet so that overhang was visible. If a side entrance is chosen, there needs to be a arch roofing system that juts out making the entrance obvious and striking.
Eventually, we will design/plan the entire property as well as the inside. These are unsupported free span structures that may have as much as 50' of open space.
I am open to many different genres of food. Currently, I do wood fired pizza and that may be the entire new project or could be just a part of it (depending on the size of the building). If I can afford the larger structure, I would consider a "food hall" with several stations that would serve different genres of food (pizza, quesadillas, panini, breakfast, bakery, etc.).
Start with a design that would work in a 40' x 60' as well as a 50' x 100'.

This is the group I am currently speaking to about the structure itself. Most of their business is in utilitarian type structures. But, within reason, they can build what you design. This project is doable for them, but the design and designing is outside their core business, which is why I am here and talking to you. Alternately, you can Google "Quonset Hut Pictures" and see some designs.
I would love to see pictures of your previous designs.
Please do not hesitate to ask questions. I may not be giving you all the information you need.
After seeing several hours of proposals, I have decided to make some adjustments. I had forgotten how the site worked and the milestones are a new concept for me, but one I can work with.
1st milestone: The exterior rendering of the building.
2nd milestone: Interior rendering - minus equipment. Since I am still in the very early stages, I am not certain what equipment I will need. However, by the, I may have a clearer picture of what I will be putting in this location.
3rd milestone: An overhead rendering of the property showing building, parking, growing/garden and greenhouse.
Feel free to adjust or withdraw your bid. This is not going to be a completed project in 3 - 14 days. It is a project that will take weeks or even months to develop.
One final addition that occurred to me while looking at some of your pictures, "texture" to the building is important. However, this is a desire, not a requirement. Nothing should be added to the structure that in any way compromises its strength.
