Cinematic Minimalist 3D Animation

I’m producing an entertainment-focused short inspired by the pacing, mood and camera language you see on the Fern YouTube channel, but with my own twist: a cinematic 3D minimalism that relies on mostly neutral tones punctuated by selective splashes of color. The final piece should run somewhere between 10 and 15 minutes. I already have a loose outline of the story beats, yet I’m counting on you to translate those into compelling visual sequences—handling modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, lighting and final render. Subtle environmental storytelling, smooth camera moves and thoughtful use of negative space are key; this project is less about frenetic action and more about mood, atmosphere and memorable composition. Because the color palette is intentionally restrained, I’ll need careful attention to light design and materials so that the selective colors truly pop. Efficient scene optimization is important too; I’d like to keep render times reasonable without sacrificing depth-of-field, volumetrics or cinematic post effects. To keep us both on track, here’s what I’ll review for acceptance: • Storyboard/animatic aligning with my outline • Look-dev frames that lock the minimalist set, lighting style and accent colors • Rough animation pass for timing and camera work • Final 4K render with balanced sound design and a simple music bed (royalty-free or custom) If you’re comfortable creating emotionally resonant visuals in a restrained 3D aesthetic, let’s talk timelines and pipeline.
