I am building Meet-sphere, a browser-based video calling platform geared toward friends and family. You can preview the current proof-of-concept here: [login to view URL] The core is already in place—ReactJS on the front end, an Express/NodeJS API backed by MongoDB, and peer connections over WebRTC managed through [login to view URL] with token-based authentication. I now want to move from demo to production quality by adding: • Screen sharing that works smoothly on Chrome, Firefox, and Safari • Multi-user conferences (3–6 participants in a room without noticeable lag) • An integrated text chat pane, delivered over the existing socket layer and persisted to MongoDB for reloads The codebase is modern React (hooks, Context, Vite), and the server runs on Express with JWT auth. You’ll have full access to the Git repo and Vercel environment. Your work should slot cleanly into that stack, follow standard ESLint/Prettier rules, and include concise comments so future contributors can understand the flow. Acceptance criteria • Screen share toggles on/off for any participant and streams to all peers in <2 s • Conferences maintain audio/video sync under 400 ms RTT for 6 users on 10 Mbps down/2 Mbps up connections • Chat messages deliver reliably in order, display real-time, and survive page refresh • No console errors, and all new functionality covered by unit tests where practical If you have shipped React + WebRTC apps before and enjoy performance tuning socket traffic, let’s talk.
