Are you familiar with Raspberry Pi? Also with ReSpeaker projects audio microphone array?

First is to have the basic visualization of sound levels over time: graph, and the direction of sound. The idea for example you have 3 units outdoor separated by whatever distance in meters (50 or 500 meters....etc.) and you have a sound that is captured by all 3 units. Also to monitor noise levels and log them overtime in [login to view URL] because of the direction vector of each unit, you can show where the sound originated on a map. So on a map show all active units with a number that is the dB sound level and the direction of where the sound is coming from, just a graphic widget that is associated with the geo location of the sensor on the map.

The code for DOA direction of arrival is available on their website and GitHub the idea is to have a browser interface or application gui that would give the end user the ability to interact initially with the unit (done in QT or something else, maybe just a growser interface to program the sensor – network parameters, log sample time in between reads…etc.)

Project is pretty straight forward with a lot of documentation on schematics, layout and code.

Thingsboard is the final visualization of one or multiple units

1. The unit should record and visualize every time in read mode based on a predefined (every second, or 5 sec, 10 min…etc., or when it senses a sound that is higher than a threshold setup previously)

2. Show direction of arrival of the sound and its dB level

3. be able to connect to IoT Thingsboard visualization/ graphs, map, minutes / hours / days / weeks…. timeline

4. be able to be programmed locally

5. be able to have the firmware updated over the network/Internet

6. Record on the local storage a few seconds when reads the sound in the environment or is triggered by an unexpected sound higher than a predefined threshold

7. Show on a map the location of the unit, and its parameters

8. Ethernet/WIFI/LTE connectivity

9. 5-14v power

NOTE: please provide an overview of making the prototype. I mean BOM availability. We need to make sure the BOM is available and easily purchased
