Turtles Drawing with keyboard

Your job is to create a program that allows a user to control a turtle so that they can draw a simple house. The user should be able to use commands to affect the direction, distance, and colour of the turtle as well as allows the user to pick-up and put-down the pen.

I need the user to be able to do this with the keyboard based on the following knowledge.
