I have a directory that is populated with a web application. The web application happens to be an angular framework, but that doesn't matter.
What I need is for someone to write a python script to insert HTML element attributes to every html element. The algorithm will look something like this:
1. Find all HTML documents in the directory at any level of the directory.
2. Open an HTML document
3. Assign an attribute to every element in the body of that html. This is specific to each file. In a file named [login to view URL] we would make element have the 'qaid' property like this: <div qaid="home001"></div> Notes on this: i. The value of qaid should be applied to every element in the HTML body.
ii. The value should be the file name with a unique ascending numeric value appended behind. The value must be padded so that it always has 4 digits.
iii. The app is an angular framework, so it must be done in a way that does not interfere with any of the elements other attributes.
examples in "[login to view URL]"
<mat qaid="procmon0001" [(ngModel)]="toggle" type="checkbox" *ngIf="toggle; else prompt" #prompt>
Congratulations, you've reached the secret bonus level!
<ng-template qaid="procmon0002" #prompt>

This doesn't have to be perfect. I am a software engineer, I can test it and dial it in. I just need a jump start on this done ASAP. Will pay handily. I've attached a directory for you to work against. Please note the examples I provided here in this description, they will not be found in the directory attached but are important test cases.
