A GIMP plugin/script that does the following:
1. Runs from the command line, accepting three parameters: an XCF filename, a search string, and a replacement string
2. Goes through all the text layers in the XCF, INCLUDING ANY TEXT LAYERS THAT HAVE BEEN ROTATED, searching for the search string and replacing it with the replacement string
3. Nothing else about the text layer (positioning, justification, etc.) should be disturbed.
4. If a change was made to any text layer, save the XCF, and then also export it as a PNG with the same filename in the same directory, overwriting any existing PNG with the same name that might already be there.
5. Return 0 if no errors, error code otherwise.
Let me know the fixed price you'd charge for this.
But before you do, please note that this needs to work on text layers that have been rotated! And that might not be easy, because they don't seem to be identifiable as text layers at that point. (Specifically: gimp_item_is_text_layer will return FALSE for a text layer that's been rotated! I believe this is because it's now a bitmap or vectorized bitmap. But the original text has to be somewhere, since you can convert it back for editing in the UI.) This is the main reason why I'm contracting this work out. Otherwise, I could do it myself. But I don't want to have to spend any time solving that problem, which feels like it could get gnarly. Be sure that you're willing to work it out -- or that you already know the solution -- before you bid!
Thanks.
